I gets it. Sort of like a sort of start-to-finish guide on the process?
Maybe an outline like;

1) Foreword
2) Before conducting a study
2.1) Using the right verision
2.2) checking known issues...
2.3) Selecting the right kinds of tests
3) Types of studies and selecting participants
3.1) Observational
3.2) Ethnographic
3.3) Blah blah blah, stuff I don't fully understand...
4) Recording data
4.1) Useful data
4.2) NOT useful data
5) Compiling results
6) Submitting to X,Y, and Z.

Of course, this is a horrible outline, but such a document would be very
useful. Sorry if I misunderstood you earlier.

Hmm, not sure I understand what you mean, like giving a certain group of
users a set of tasks and asking them to rate their difficulty?

I suspect it'd be hard to code something to time and report like that,
though it'd get an 8 for coolness factor.

Thank you. I'm sorry I missed it before the move though.
