Yes dash is something she is working with.  But it doesn't offer the simplicity needed.  Her movements are jerky.  So with dasher is helps... but when one mistake happens she has to go way back.

***gedit does include tags plugins so if your friend was frequently typing

Autocomplete is still not the option because she would have to go back and forth from keyboard to mouse.  I think a simple screen at the bottom that shows four guess words then you can just press one of the four sets.
But thanks... dasher was the name of the other program I was thinking of.

Speech to text software might be another option to consider.
