Back in 2008 in Moblin 2 we mandated 1024x600, and it certainly wasn't
controversial back then.  The <600px netbooks in that list are either
actually MIDs (<5" screens) or incredibly cheap netbooks.  I'd put
money on being unable to find a screen less than 1024x600 on a typical
netbook in your local hardware store.

I'd like to see a task to review the desktop and core apps on
1024x600, reporting and hopefully working with designers and fixing
any problems.  For example, the Evolution settings dialog isn't usable
at <1024x768.
