The ability to have anjuta highlight user defined types would be very
nice. For example, if I define "int number", anjuta would highight the
word "number" every time I use it from that point on. This would quickly
catch mispellings. Eventually auto-completion of user-defined types
would be great, but I'm sure you have other things to work on for now.
