While having the images inline is visually impressive, it's also not
consistent since not all attachments can be displayed this way. It also
comes at the expense of more useful functionality, such as the bug that
prompted this whole discussion and wrapping of text in the preview and
message display windows. I'd much rather have my mail displayed to me
with long lines automatically wrapped than have images displayed inline,
even as an optional feature. Having the attachments appear as icons in a
separate pane is perfectly acceptable to me, and probably to the
majority of users.
