Balsa ruins GNOME fonts?

I have been having problems with GNOME apps and a lag in typing ... I also
noticed my fonts look different after installing Balsa. 

Before installing this program .... typing was fast and fluid. After ive
installed the balsa program however, GNOME programs like gnotepad+ have an extreme lag
to it. I would like to fix this problem. Any suggestions?
