Compiling 0.9.5

I apologize for the generic compiling question in advance...

Nonetheless, when building balsa-0.9.5 from source on a RedHat 6.2 system with
the proper gnome install base...I get the following error:

Am I not properly including <sys/stat.h> somehow?  Any ideas how I should
attack this?
