I think it would be much easier if the address book add dialogue would
prompt:

 New Address Book type:  
 o GnomeCard Address Book
 o other VCard Address Book
 o LDAP Address Book

Then it can fill in the default location for the GnomeCard address book as
well as a default title.

BTW: alias expansion yes/no is missing in the add dialog.

Unfortunately "rpm -ta" produces binaries without debug code (does anybody
know how one can change this?)

But I found a way how to reproduce this:

- start balsa with no address book
- add an invalid vcard address book (i.e. your home directory)
- view address book
- remove address book
- view address book
-> crash.

If you still can't reproduce this, I'll recompile balsa with debug code.
