Some thoughts/suggestions:
Usability
* Automatic scroll down and placing of the cursor at the end of the quoted
message when replying (maybe even adding of an empty line to encourage good
quoting style). This should be optional but default to on.
* Use of the arrow keys to browse the message index.
* The ability to use tab in a meaningful way to change focus in the main
window. Now the focus gets stuck somewhere after a few tabs.
* Consistency in the naming of the message deletion function. Now it's called
"Delete" in the toolbar and message menu and "Move To Trash" in the
right-click menu.
* Consistent use of the delete key (or similar) for deletion everywhere
(folders, messages etc). The focus decides what is affected.
* Minor: It would be nice if Balsa didn't complain about
"Unable to Open Mailbox!" loudly if that's because the user is new and hasn't
got any mail yet (so /var/spool/mail/<user> doesn't exist).
* Automatic opening (displaying) of the _inbox_ always on startup. Optional but
default on. "Remember open mailboxes between sessions" doesn't do this.
Esthetics
* In the message view the subject isn't in line with the other headers.
(this is probably known :) )
