this means ? run not correctly could be anything. but i once run it on
glibc 2.1.x myself and it never caused any problems. dunno, during all
the evolution in balsa till today i doubt that there are any strange
behaves. but i dont run a distribution at all.

but hey crashes ? are the crashes related with pthread ? e.g. when pressing
on check or something ? the only way of 'crashes' i could think off.

no, only crash: pop3, phreads.
gdk_threads and muttlocks work correctly.
