I don't see the hangs on my desktop but I have a laptop with Roswell
(RH-7.2 beta) and balsa hangs there in gnome_show_url(). The test
program atfork-test.c behaves identically on both boxes. I wonder how
one can resolve it in a systematic way...

laptop:
kernel-2.4.7
glibc-2.2.3
glib-1.2.10-5
(I have noticed that libpcre existence has been detected)

desktop:
kernel-2.4.3-12
glibc-2.2.2-10
glib-1.2.10-ximian
(no pcre)
