problem with INPUT widget

Hello !

I note something strange when I type an email in the to: wigdget (Idon't
know if it's the right word)

I begin to type the address, but when I Insert the @, another character
(it's changing everytime) takes place AFTER the cursor.
The Cursor then is between the @ and the new character. I try to move the
cursor with the arrow key, but unsuccessfully. I have to point with the
mouse.

But If I do so, and delete the character, the @ is removed....

Any idea ?

Note : Using Mandrake 7.2, gnome Helix, balsa 1.1 french translation as RPM
(I could not compile because of many package dependencies of pspell)
