By default the size is displayed:
- in bytes for messages <= 32KB (#)
- in KB for  messages <= 1MB (#.#K for
< 100 KB and #K for longer messages)
- in MB for longer messages (#.#M)

You can also switch the size (there's a
checkbox in preferences) to be the number
of lines.

Size is always the total length of an email
including all attachements.
