Re: Outbox traffic jam?

I don't use an ISP for mail; it's my machine. Which could definitely mean it's misconfigured, as I just recently installed RH71 and my primary focus is *not* being an expert qmail administrator :)

I'm not using inetd; I'm using tcpserver...the djb way. However, I will note that I'm using the identical qmail setup and configuration I was using *before* I switched to RH71, and it worked flawlessly before. I switched from BIND to djbdns at the same time I went to RH71, but dns appears to work well. If you want to hammer at it a little, it's industrial-linux.org (209.206.215.38).

After all this, I'm considering running a "dummy" identd replacement that just sits there and provides bogus answers. It might cause less pain than firewalling the auth port.
