Local MTA with balsa 1.1.5

Hi there,
I'm new to this list and hope this isn't off topic.
My problem is that I switched to balsa 1.1.5
(used a deb package provided by Randall Gibson
at http://www.tvec.net/users/wabbit/) and was not
able to set it up for using my local MTA.
I'm using masqmail 0.0.12 which provides a
sendmail command (as all MTAs do as far as I
know...). For the moment I downgraded to
balsa 1.0.0 again where I don't have this problem.
The help files coming with balsa1.1.5 weren't
really helpful for me as there is mentioned only
that it is possible to use local MTAs but not how
(as far as I did see and sometimes I'm nearly 
blind ;-)
Hope you can tell me how to do it due to the new
cool features of 1.1.5.
