yeah. This will probably be an issue when I try to build a debian
package of 1.2.2 as well.
'make dist' builds the docs anyhow, doesn't it? So the released
tarball has docs?
If I'm right on that, then I suggest that the release tarball turn off
doc generation (move it from one section of makefile.am to a
maintainer section, or something?). Then end users don't need the doc
tools installed.
