I'm hoping someone here may be able to advise me.
I'm running RH6.2, Windowmaker and Gnome 2.2.14 (if I've read the right
bit), plus some KDE apps, noticeably KPPP. Yes I know it's a mishmash
but it works :)
I was happily running Kmail 1.0.29, until it struck the 'billennium
bug'. Kmail 2.x is supposed to be immune but it only comes built into
KDE 2.x which is many megabytes download and I don't really want to go
there.... I don't really want to upgrade to RH 7 either, yet.
I'm now using Sylpheed but don't really like the 'look and feel' of it.
And I don't need a heap of features like thread following, hierarchical
folders and whatnot.
I'd like to try Balsa, but if I try to install the latest RPM it lists a
whole string of other dependencies. I looked at the Balsa download
page and it listed a raft of earlier versions including one that was
compiled in RH 6.2 but when I clicked on that I got 'can't find server'.
So my question is, which version of Balsa is best for my current RH 6.2
setup and where could I find it? (I did try looking around the Balsa site
but if it's there I missed it). If the answer is 'the latest' then I'll
try and find all the other files it requires and install them, hoping
they won't screw anything else on my system :)
As I said, any advice would be welcome.
Chris
