yes.... but thats not a balsa issue. i dont know why you ask for this
on this list.... maybe you go and read your gnome documentation....

gnome-control-center   <--- is the tool to start, usually available in a correct
                            gnome installation.

there you go to url handlers and set your default browser. simple eh ?
