this is a window manager issue not a balsa issue. i bet this happens with
other applications too, if it doesn't you prolly choose 'forget window
state' by mistake on sawfish :)
applications shouldn't remember window geometry (the few that do usually get
the WM pissed at them :)), that's a job for the window manager or the
session manager. sawfish, the default WM on most gnome installations has
has shown some bugs in this area latelly :\
