well sorry,

i doubt than aynone here is going to help you installing your GNOME
correctly. that's your own problem. now that you mentioned that you
don't like to install ALL of gnome then this means your installation is
almost incomplete.

but 90% of the things you are missing right now are development packages
please make sure you also install packages marked 'dev' or 'development'
for gnome and the gnome libraries your are using. if you fail then you
should better use the precompiled balsa binaries.

you can also go and read this documentation in howto install gnome (more
or less correctly since that documentation is kinda borked too but a
good starting point at least.)

btw: not only your gnome installation seems to be broken, also you are
missing aclocal, autoconf, automake, autoheader files.. not to mention
what other stuff you are missing.
