OK, I thank all of you who have enlightened me a bit on memory management 
;-)
So what we should do is just not alloc too much memory together, ie as 
soon as we can free a chunk of memory we should do it to try not to make 
the memory allocated by balsa grow too much. I'm not sure we can do better 
than what we are doing now in an easy way.
