Hi,
I just d/l and tried the BALSA_2 branch from yesterday.
It has really become better since my last review, but nevertheless I've
found some small issues:
1) You can't use special encoded letters in the to, cc or bcc-fields while
composing mails.
2) Balsa still has some problems with special characters while displaying.
I just got a mail with something like this: "\344" (it should be a German
"ä" (ae)) or "\374" ("ü"-ue) At least this is shown in "view source" in
every other editor you see the right letter.
There is no mime header so perhaps this could be the problem. Why don't
you put sth. like a default-charset for non-mime/utf8 msgs into prefs?
3) everytime I want to add an attachment balsa hangs with:
el): assertion `GTK_IS_WIDGET (widget)' failed
(balsa:2235): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: invalid uninstantiatable type
`GInterface' in cast to `GtkWidget'
(balsa:2235): Gtk-CRITICAL **: file gtkwidget.c: line 6416
(gtk_widget_get_accessible): assertion `GTK_IS_WIDGET (widget)' failed
(balsa:2235): Gtk-CRITICAL **: file gtktreeview.c: line 9323
(gtk_tree_view_get_cursor): assertion `GTK_IS_TREE_VIEW (tree_view)' failed
(balsa:2235): Gtk-CRITICAL **: file gtktreeview.c: line 8277
(gtk_tree_view_get_columns): assertion `GTK_IS_TREE_VIEW (tree_view)'
failed
(balsa:2235): Gtk-CRITICAL **: file gtktreeview.c: line 7608
(gtk_tree_view_get_model): assertion `GTK_IS_TREE_VIEW (tree_view)' failed
If you don't opened a mailbox before there is no msg on the console about
that
4) Why do messages in the drafts-folder always have 1970-01-01 0:00 as
their date?
Thanks a lot for that great proggi!
cu
/Steffen
