Ive removed the -lc from /usr/lib/libpspell.la but it doesnt seem to 
have made any difference.  Im not entirely sure if I had to do anything 
after altering this file or not but, just to be sure, I ran ldconfig 
(no args + no idea what this does) and restarted (dirty habit from 
windows)

Any of suggestions?

btw. libpspell is version 15.0.2
