See the attached message (created by balsa 1.4.2, btw). I guess the
"unknown-8bit" in the file name makes the difference. This is, however,
perfectly legal as it's a iana registered name. IIRC pine, if not
configured correctly, makes the same problems.
Balsa 2 sets a more meaningful charset for the file name (e.g. iso-8859-1)
avoiding such problems.
