Usernames for POP3 accounts with '+' characters

  My ISP provides the capability to define several mailboxes on one 
account. Once setup these are accedded via appending the mailbox name 
to the base username thus:

    username:  fredjones
    mailbox 'spam' username: fredjones+spam


   Balsa doesn't seem to like the '+' character in POP3 usernames. does 
anyone know a way around this? Can I register a bug?

   Apart from that, I love balsa!
