problems with word-wrapping

Hi all...

I am using balsa since long ago, but I am new to the list, just subscribed.
I use balsa from cvs regularly, without problems. Till now.
I can't get balsa to obbey the word wrap settings. Well, really I can't
get balsa to not do word wrap.

I have unchecked the Settings:Preferences:Mail Options:Outgoing:Word Wrap
checkbox, and the compose window has format=flowed unchecked. But it
insists on wrapping my messages.

Any idea ? Any info needed ?

Example: copied from the list page, I originally see it as one only line
in the compose window:

 Subscribe to balsa-list by filling out the following form. You will be sent
email requesting confirmation
