This is of course correct, but ' ' and '\t' actually have the same meaning in a header from the rfc's pov. However, IMHO it would be a lot more user- friendly for any frontend (balsa) hacker to get a WSP == ' ', as the tab does not carry *any* other relevant information than a space in the header. So my suggestion would be replacing tabs by spaces in gmime rather than in balsa to make all header related stuff completely transparent.
