Default spellcheck language

Hi All,

I recently found the time to customize aspell to do my spellchecking in  
Dutch. This is now working for checking and altering plain text files, but in  
Balsa it is still checking in English only unless I change it through the  
Language menu.

Is there a way to make it check in Dutch by default? I know that the LANG  
system variable is set to en_US.UTF-8, if that has anything to do with it,  
but that's the way I want to keep it.
