balsa with no smtp daemon

Hi,
I have ssmtp installed here which provides a (rudimenatory) sendmail command which CANNOT run as daemon.
Is it possible to configure Balsa such that it executes /usr/bin/sendmail itself?
If not, does anybody know as most simple ssmtp daemon?
