Hi,
now that I've got the latest version of balsa running, I can file
another wishlist bug without having to worry that it is just present in
my ancient version, not in later ones. :-)
When I right-click a mail folder to change its properties, a dialogue
pops up where one can choose the identity for that mailbox from a
dropdown list. For each identity, this list contains just the text put
in the From-header: "Description <mail.address>" ("Andreas Schmidt
<pi-c arcor de>" in the case of my folder for this list). Now, I like
to send my mails encrypted -- but only some of the people I send mails
to use encryption. Therefore, for most of my mail adresses I have
defined two identities: one from which I send just signed messages, and
another where outgoing mails are encrypted and signed. All identities
are in the dropdown list, of course, but with only the From-headers
shown, it usually is a matter of trial and error to choose the identity
I want.
Would it be possible to make the list a bit more obvious? In the
identity manager (Balsa -> Settings -> Identities), all identities have
a name. How about using that name in the dropdown list -- either
exclusively, or combined with the current text?
Best regards
Andreas
