I found a couple of issues that might be related. One was a stale GSource id that didn't get cleared, and the 
other was a failure to lock the mailbox during threading-related activity. I'm not sure if either could have 
caused intermittent nonthreaded messages, but the locking issue is in the sorting/threading code. Master has 
been patched for both--please report success or failure!
