Does this mean I can't use exaile code to implement shoutcast stream support for example?I have read suggestions posted as replies to my previous GSoC post from
earlier today and have constructed the following GSoC guide:
http://banshee-project.org/GSoC2007
Additionally I have applied for Banshee to be an organization under GSoC
2007 and it is awaiting approval.
The following kinds of projects will not be in the GSoC if we are
approved:
a) The browser
b) A playback queue
c) Video support
The reason for this is that these features will depend on core design
changes that are really not suited for GSoC. Specifically for (a) and
(b), these features are planned for immediate development in the 0.13.x.
Video support will not be considered until maybe next year - it really
is going to depend on some major architectural changes that will come
about in part by completing (a) and (b), even though up front it may
seem they are unrelated.
I'm still open to other ideas for GSoC projects, so keep posting and
keep watching the GSoC page above. Take notice to the NOTE at the top of
that page however. We are NOT yet approved as an organization in GSoC.
