Sorry to get a bit tangential, but why is this? Seems like that could
be slightly less than ideal, given that there could possibly be some
good GPL'ed code Banshee could use. (Rhythmbox's recent
crossfading/gapless GStreamer backend work comes to mind.)
I suppose it's because the GPL is more restrictive than the MIT license?
