I've seen the mockups for the new netbook interface and they do look
great--unfortunately unless I can manage to find a way to upgrade my eeepc
901 to something more recent than Ubuntu 8.04.3 I don't have much hope of
ever being able to use it.  Heck the PPA for Hardy barely has support for
Banshee as it is!  I'm still stuck using the 1.4.3 version of the app and
had to hack in the lyrics extension because for whatever reason it is no
longer added to the latest version on Hardy Heron.  I did a search on the
reason why Hardy Heron is stuck on 1.4.3 only to discover it is a known
issue and the fix is known for some time now--yet no release...  Is it any
wonder why people get frustrated and choose not to comment?

(It's the same story for other major apps like OO.o so don't feel I am
unjustly attacking on Banshee, but if you're going to offer an app for a
distro, particularly if you're going to offer one for a LTS or extended
support version of the distro, shouldn't you make sure it can run with all
extensions and plugins?  Shouldn't it be current?)

I'll see about trying to add a CC to that bug if I can figure it out and it
doesn't require yet another login that I'll never use again...
