Dear list members
I am using an Ipod Mini (1st generation, Firmware 1.4.1) on Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid with Banshee Version 1.8.0.
The device is detected. However, no music is found, even though the player is approx. 80% full of songs, which can be played with earphones etc. The stored data on the Ipod disk volume appears in Banshee as "other", not as "music".
On the same machine, with Rhythmbox Version 0.12.8, all songs/playlists are correctly detected and music can be played.
Could anyone help me on this?
The songs were originally copied to the Ipod Mini with iTunes using "intelligent" playlists only. The playlists containing the songs are deteced on Rhythmbox as mentioned.
Any help would be grately appreciated.
Thanks. Karl
PS: Using a slightly newer Ipod Photo, I don't have any problems. I remember, however, that after first use Banhee complained that the database must be rebuilt, which I allowed. This was not reported on the Ipod Mini upon first connection.
