applications: vs. applications:/

in nautilus 2, i can go to start-here:, but not applications:/, i get
this error:

    "applications:" is not a valid location. Please check the spelling
    and try again.

(yay for selectable labels in dialogs)

it works if i do applications:/ or applications:///
