Apart from the fact that putting it in the run dialog doesn't work you
mean ? ;)

It's for iDisks, samba shares, ftp sites, and whatever file sharing you
fancy.

Adding new shortcuts would still be painful.

"Connect to server" is to connect to file sharing servers. Under MacOSX,
it mounts it on the desktop. Here, it pops up a new window, and
automatically saves your server's Url to a shortcut in network:
