Ok, it seems to be due to libtool suckage of some kind.  Look for
"/usr/lib/liblinc.so" or "/usr/lib/liblinc.la" in the .la files in
/opt/gnome/lib and remove those.  That will at least let you continue
building...I'm not sure where the actual problem is.
