Gnome-session crashes X on startup

I am seeing an X crash on startup with a full cvs build from 11 and 12
Aug

Everything works fine if I revert to my gnome-session from cvs 4 aug

what I get from startx is this

         (WW) warning, (EE) error, (NI) not implemented, (??) unknown.
