You want both with PS and PDF as well (the latter at least as an option
- ggv supports dynamic rezooming when window is resized much like
acrobat reader does).

hell, TIFFs can have mutiple pages. and you use eog to view them. as far
as the "convenient zoom level for reading" goes: you want to have "any
zoom level". the "convenient zoom levels for reading" are a subset of
"any zoom level"
I think eog/ggv/gpdf would all integrate quite nicely into a single
shell.
