GNOME could include both the Vera fonts to cover ISO8859-1, and some
free fonts to cover more of the Unicode space (even if they aren't as
"nice" as Vera). It'd be useful to have some sort of font set shipped
that'd render as much of Unicode as possible -- perhaps use Vera for
the ISO8859-1-equivalent space, and unifont or something for the rest?
