gnome panel && gnome-terminal

Hi:

    I have downloaded gnome packages from www.gnome.org.
    After compiled them and completed installation, there are two problems:
 
  1. There was a problem registering the panel with the bonobo-activation 
      server.
      The error code is:1
      The panel will now exit.
  2. Applecation "gnome-terminal" has crushed due to a fatal error when I
     click the gnome-terminal button

    who can tell me why ?  thank you.
