Control-center theme dirs

Hi all,

I would like to ask, if there will be possible to split gtk and gnome into
separate directiories.

For example I've installed them into:

/opt/gnome
/opt/gtk

and themes are searched using gtk_rc_get_theme_dir() which uses GTK_DATA_DIR and
looks only in /opt/gtk/share/themes. This cannot work if I split gnome and gtk,
but I want to allow user to choose if he wants to have just gtk or gtk with gnome.

So, is it planned to be possible not to install the whole gnome with gtk together into
one directory?

I know that symlinks should be the way, but who wants to check it whenever it
changes.
