The X primary clipboard sucks for a lot of tasks, unfortunately. Like
replacing text. Select data in app A, switch to B, select data in B to
replace, middle-click and... oops. Switch to B, delete text, switch to
A, select text, switch back to B, hope it's easy to remember where that
deleted text was exactly, middle-click. Maybe switch back to A and
delete the text if you were trying to cut and not just copy. Ugh.
Menues and key-bound cut/copy/paste are necessary in a lot of tasks to
avoid the pain and sorrow of middle-click-only paste operations.
