I think Edd was envisoning some along the lines of the file chooser. So
people could get a list of their contacts, search through them, perhaps
mark off ones that they use frequently, and when they finally make a
selection the calling program can then get the information it wants (ie
the EContact itself or just the bits of data) and call it a day.

It would probably also make sense to allow people to add differing
pieces of information to search on. By default the full name and
nickname should always be searched, but for example, gnome-phone-manager
might also specify to search a phone number field and also to display
that by default, etc.
