gnoppix, maybe?  haven't tried it myself, but it look like a pure-gnome
distro.

I tried that once, but my head got stuck in the doorway when I tried to
use the restroom.  Now I prefer thinking in simpler ways that don't need
calls for paramedics, so I bought an iBook.  ;-)
