OK - what is the state of the new menu system? From what I can see,
it's been on the drawing board for a while, but it's not in GNOME 2.6,
nor in 2.8. Is it due in 2.10? If not - can we patch gnome-panel in
the meantime?
Out of curiousity (I'm new to the whole GNOME process), who would make
that decision? The gnome-panel maintainer? Some committee?
