Mime Actions

I'm curious if anybody has given any consideration to using the .desktop
files to define "actions" that can be done on a file, vs just Open With
verbiage. Perhaps, "Play with Totem", "Install with Synaptic", "Edit
with Gimp". A lot of the times these simply make more sense than "Open
with". Anybody?
