gnome event sounds without esd

Hi,

currently, the only way to use gnome event sounds is if the user
has esd enabled. As many (Linux) users nowadays got alsa with
dmixing support, many don't need esd features, and would like
to disable it entirely. But, that leaves them without event sounds.

Since GNOME has switched to gstreamer as a multimedia
platform anyways, I believe the sound event playing should
use that instead.

Prompted by a discussion on IRC, I've written a small patch
for libgnome. The patch is really a quick hack and doesn't
work all the times, but it's a start, and I could give ti more love
if you (the distinguished desktop devel gentlemen:) agree
this is a sensible proposal.

The bugzilla feature req for this:

Senko
