RFC on menus default icon

First, I'm not sure if this is the best place to ask this. If not, please
redirect me :)

Yesterday, I hacked up a little patch to have some kind of default icon
for menu entries without an icon. The idea is [7]not new (#76495), and
I think this is the best solution.

It looks like this http://amedias.org/img/menus_default_icon_patch_3.png

The diff for the package is available at:
[8]gnome-panel_add-icon-to-items-without-one_ubuntu.diff

The patch has been uploaded to hoary ([9]Accepted gnome-panel 2.10.0-0ubuntu8
(source))

Patch from Jorge Bernal <koke at amedias.org>:
* debian/application-default-icon.png.uue:
 - the default icon.
* debian/patches/09_default_icons.patch:
 - shows an icon if the .desktop hasn't one.
* debian/rules:
 - install the icon.

Please, give your opinions on this.

TIA,
 Koke
